Responsible Marketing
Responsible Marketing requires a working knowledge of not
only using the internet but understanding the rules and laws of
the internet. Ethics in marketing should always come into
play when you are sending out any mailings.
While some tactics may not on the surface appear to be
in violation of the law, they are a thinly disguised piece of
spam. These tactics involve not only emails but websites
that misrepresent their true intention.
It's not necessarily the fault of the spammer, you see often
times they are instructed by their sponsor or upline, and in
some cases their company to use deceptive techniques to "share
their opportunity". The bottom line is that it is all of
our responsibility to learn how to market within the law when
we are doing business on the internet.
If you are interested in working responsibly on the internet
and building a legitimate business, please take the time to
understand the CanSpam Act.
It takes only one complaint to the FTC to shut down your
operation if they determine you are in violation, and the fines
are hefty!
